B.Sc. Plant Pathology or Bachelor of Science in Plant Pathology is an undergraduate Agriculture Science and Technology course. Plant Pathology is a branch of agricultural science that deals with the study of fungi, bacteria, viruses, nematodes, and other microbes that cause diseases of plants. The branch focuses on understanding how hosts, pathogens, and environments interact to cause plant diseases and on understanding how to control plant diseases. Plant pathology, also, is a scientific study of plant diseases caused by pathogens and environmental conditions. Plant pathology also involves the study of pathogen identification, disease etiology, disease cycles, economic impact, plant disease epidemiology, plant disease resistance, how plant diseases affect humans and animals, pathos-system genetics, and management of plant diseases. The duration of the course is three years.
